Kiwix : An offline reader for web content.

Kiwix is an offline reader for web content. It is specially developed to make Wikipedia available offline. It may happen to you sometimes that you want to have some information from Wikipedia and your internet connection is down, or you might want to save some Wikipedia pages for your future references. In such cases, Kiwix provides a way to have Wikipedia offline. With Kiwix, you can enjoy Wikipedia anywhere anytime without even an internet connection. The software is fully open source and free and is considered one of the best software for students and people who are really 'Wikipedia' guys.It has been the top downloaded open source software. If you are a tech-savvy you must have it. A recommendation from linuxosr group :)

Kiwix uses Mozilla framework and is available in about 80 languages. It has full text search, with the option of exporting articles in html or pdf formats. SO, if you want any article of wikipedia for later use, simply export in a pdf format and keep it with you forever. Isn't it great?

Kiwix is an open source, free software. That means you can freely use it, modify it, share it with your neighbors or whatever you wish to do with it.

Kiwix is about 22 MB in size and is available for all platforms Windows, Linux, Mac OS X.
