Apache OpenOffice.

OpenOffice is the leading office suite and competes directly with Microsoft Office. It is used for word processing, spreadsheets, presentations, database and more works. It is available in many languages and is available for Windows, Linux/Unix, sun solaris and MacOS. 

Features of OpenOffice: 
Open source. OpenOffice is open sourced. Yes, its source code is available to everyone and the right to use and modify is free. 


Free. Yup. You can get a copy of OpenOffice completely free and no licence fees to be paid for using it. It can be used for domestic, commercial, educational or public purposes. It can be installed on as many systems as needed and without anyone's permissions. 

Easy to use. OpenOffice is as easy to use to use as any other office suite. Its easier to learn and if you are already using any other office suite, then you are almost in straight away. 

Better design. OpenOffice is a result of 20years of regular development. Users all over the world have contributed in its better design and bugs removing. 

Easy imports. You can import all your documents created by some other office suite to OpenOffice within seconds. You dont have to type everything again. 

PDF tool. OpenOffice includes tools to make pdf documents too, not available in Microsfot Office.

    it also, unlike openoffice, has developers.
